Global warming is a worsening reality that needs to be changed quickly. My research focus is the mitigation of nitrous oxide (N2O) that is released from agricultural fields. It is known that this greenhouse gas has a much greater destructive power compared to CO2. Fortunately, studies show that mitigation of N2O is possible achieve by proper management of the microorganisms present in agricultural soils. Therefore, my study is focused on finding natural microorganisms with biotechnological potential that can be used for both N2O mitigation and optimization of agricultural production.
